A note from the founder of Crow’s Feet Primitives Candle Company - Frances Bousquet

I have always had a love for antiques, primitives, and just generally old "stuff". I have been making primitive decorations for many years as a hobby and several years ago decided to try my hand at candle making.

I have now been making primitive soy candles and tarts since 2012.

From the beginning, I knew that I wanted my candle containers to have that primitive look that I love. so I set out to design a candle container that would be both primitive and appealing!

It took me some time and a lot of experimenting to develop the spice and coffee "grunge" mixture that I use as a coating for my containers.

Each of my jars is hand-painted by me with two layers of my mixture and a final coating of sealer. A primitive label is then applied and the result is a beautiful one -of- a - kind container that will last long after the candle has burned!!

The candles themselves are all individually hand-poured by me and are made of pure soy wax with no additives except the fragrance. They have a strong hot and cold scent throw and burn for an average of 60-70 hours.
